The management of the prestigious Bearys College of Education at Kodi recently felicitated Chandrika, a B.Ed student who bagged the first rank at Mangalore University. The felicitation took place at a program organized to welcome new students to the B.Ed course, by the staff and management of the Institute. Chandrika, who spoke during her felicitation program, said she was married and a mother of a 2-year-old when she got admission to the B.Ed Course at Bearys College of Education. “I achieved this feat due to the cooperation of my family and the teachers at Bearys College of Education. Everyone has the same amount of time, but it is important to prioritize your activities,” she added.
Speaking on the occasion, Syed Mohamed Beary, convener of the Kodi Haji Mohideen Beary Education Trust, said the teaching profession is superior to other professions since only good teachers can build a good society and country. Countries like Japan, Taiwan, and Singapore have seen rapid growth with a strong education. The education system in India should not only be limited to textbooks but also to study other issues, he opined.

Dr. Kishore Kumar, Dean, Faculty of Education, Mangalore University, also spoke propositionally at the event. Bearys Group’s Haji KM Abdul Rehman presided over the function. Campus Director, Dr. Doma Chandrasekhar, Koteshwara College Principal, Rajendra S Nayak, Shankaranarayana First Grade College Principal Dr. Udaya Kumar Shetty, Bearys D.Ed College Principal Dr. Firdose, and others were present at the ceremony. Siddappa K.S, the Principal, Bearys B.Ed College, presented the entire program.
